How to choose high-speed doors
This article explains what to consider when choosing high-speed doors.
Below is a detailed text about the parameters used to choose doors. If you do not have time to read it, watch the video about DYNACO doors.
Country of manufacture, spare-parts warehouse and service region
DYNACO doors are manufactured in Russia. Dealers, spare-parts warehouses and service teams are present in every region of the country.
Delivery speed
Delivery speed is often a decisive factor when choosing a supplier.
We guarantee a minimum DYNACO door production time of 3 days. As a rule, with all required approvals, payment and logistics, the process fits within one working week.

Production in Russia
There is no need to wait for spare parts and components either: we keep all required stock in our Moscow warehouse and service centres across Russia.
Type and requirements of the premises
Doors are selected based on the type of premises, temperature conditions, average traffic through the opening and many other characteristics. The doors must integrate into the production process.
That is why the DYNACO range includes models for many different types of premises:
● doors for warehouse areas
● attractive doors for retail
● insulated freezer doors for temperatures down to -40°C
● doors for openings with extreme wind loads up to 160 km/h
● airtight cleanroom doors
● doors for very large openings up to 11 metres high
DYNACO doors are used on conveyor lines, in car parks, at car washes and many other facilities. In the References section, we have collected customer stories from a wide range of industries.
Non-standard operating conditions
DYNACO's portfolio includes many non-standard projects. The doors can be integrated into virtually any production process.

Doors for special operating conditions
DYNACO doors in a mine operate under high wind loads and sudden temperature changes.

Door opening and closing speed
The main purpose of high-speed doors is to minimise the time an opening remains open. Both speed indicators matter when selecting a door — opening and closing. The less time the opening stays open, the more effective the door.
High-speed doors from other manufacturers close by free-falling curtain, leaving the opening open for more than 60 seconds.
DYNACO doors open at 2.4 m/s and close at 1.2 m/s. DYNACO doors are positively closed by the motor (PUSH-PULL system*), so the opening remains open for less than 3 seconds.
Wind resistance
High wind speeds occur in many situations: through-openings, cross-docking, temperature differences between rooms and, always, large outdoor openings.
Wind presses against the door curtain and interferes with operation. As a result, doors with a conventional lowering system may fail to close in moderate or strong wind.
DYNACO doors tested next to an operating helicopterDYNACO doors operate even in hurricane-force winds up to 160 km/h. Thanks to PUSH-PULL technology and the toothed side edge, DYNACO doors operate normally in winds up to Class 5 of European standard EN 12424.
Sealing
If doors are not airtight, they are inefficient and cause losses. Heat or cold escapes through gaps and play; excess humidity and mould can develop; dust accumulates; and insects can enter. Operating a poorly sealed room generally costs more, and equipment inside it wears out faster. It is therefore important to consider how the curtain is secured in the guides and the sealing systems used.
In non-airtight door designs, the curtain can be pulled away from the guides by hand. The bottom rail does not fit tightly against the floor. The doors can then become a route for contamination.
Side guide and flexible side toothed rack DYNACO doors offer exceptional hygiene performance.
The curtain is securely fixed at the sides in specially designed guides, eliminating gaps and openings. The lower sealing pocket covers floor unevenness caused by forklift traffic.
DYNACO doors comply with uniform sanitary, epidemiological and hygiene requirements.
Resistance to impact and dislodging
Door impacts are inevitable: a forklift or vehicle may hit them. According to our statistics, production doors are hit two to five times per month.
It is therefore important to choose doors equipped with an automatic self-reinsertion system after impact. This can reduce future costs for minor but time-consuming repairs and minimise the risk of facility downtime.
DYNACO doors include a self-reinsertion system after impact.
Selection of door impact testsIf accidentally hit by a vehicle, the curtain normally leaves the guides and then quickly reinserts itself during the next cycle.
Operation with altered opening geometry
Vehicles can hit not only the curtain but also the side guides. Doors with rigid elements are highly sensitive to opening geometry: even minor distortion can cause them to jam and prevent closing.
DYNACO doors are fully flexible and operate even when the opening geometry changes.
Cost of repairs and components
DYNACO engineers systematically eliminated door components that are subject to wear — modern high-speed doors have very few parts that can fail. However, components such as teeth, PVC elements in friction areas and toothed rings are consumables and must be replaced periodically.
Compare not only the door price but also the cost of consumable components - DYNACO spare parts are inexpensive and always in stock.
Safety systems
As noted above, doors are often struck by vehicles and knocked out of the guides.
The cable is easy to damage When a door uses wired safety elements (sensing edge or cables), every time they are damaged or torn out by forklift forks, the door requires repair.
WDD consists of a sensing element and radio transmitter in the lower seal of the door curtain DYNACO doors are designed differently: they do not use cables. Instead, they are equipped with a more efficient wireless WDD sensing edge.
It consists of a sensing element and radio transmitter installed in the lower seal of the door curtain. The radio receiver is installed in the control unit. A radio signal is transmitted only if the door touches an obstacle while closing. Upon receiving the signal, the control unit immediately opens the door. This operating mode extends lithium-battery life because the transmitter remains inactive most of the time. WDD eliminates the need for an unreliable coiled cable or pneumatic sensors.
Safety for vehicles and pedestrians
The DYNACO door design contains no rigid or heavy components.
DYNACO doors are completely safeEven if they descend onto a vehicle or pedestrian, they will not cause harm and will automatically start moving upward.
Installation space required
DYNACO doors are surface-mounted, so the clear opening can be fully preserved.
Because the door curtain rolls up, only 350 to 450 mm of installation space is required above the opening.
Additional options
DYNACO doors can be equipped with additional options including an insulated curtain, heated guides, uninterruptible power supplies, stainless- or galvanised-steel housings, transparent windows, warning lights and an antibacterial curtain.
Photo printing on DYNACO door curtains Any images and logos can also be printed on the doors, allowing the doors to be used as additional advertising or information space.
Warranty, technical support and attention
All DYNACO doors come with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty, with no fine print or asterisks: unlike some other manufacturers, it does not impose unnecessary service requirements.
If service is required, DYNACO Service technical support is available every day, 24 hours a day, even on New Year's Eve.
Reviews and customer stories
Freezer chamber
There is only one high-speed door designed for installation inside a freezer chamber — DYNACO M2 Freezer.
These doors are equipped with heating for the door perimeter, motor and control unit, so they can be installed from inside the freezer room - the only installation method when a sliding door is installed outside.
The "Anti-Frost" system on DYNACO M2 Freezer doors periodically shakes ice off the curtain, extending the service life of the doors. If the temperature difference between the rooms is up to 5 degrees, only high-speed doors with the "insulated curtain" option can be installed, without any sliding door.
Retail
According to statistics, every third high-speed door in retail and warehouse areas is DYNACO.
All DYNACO doors are quiet, safe, attractive and compact. When installed on a sales floor, any image can also be printed on the curtain, providing additional advertising space.
Distribution centre
Dynaco doors operate at an extremely high duty cycle and help the company maintain a high pace of work and complete warehouse tasks on time. They operate quickly and are completely safe for vehicles and employees.
Food production
The doors are installed inside a food facility and separate storage and production areas, as well as storage areas between warm and freezer warehouses.
DYNACO doors meet hygiene and sanitary-epidemiological requirements, operate quickly and are designed for safe use by employees and equipment.
Car park
DYNACO parking doors separate indoor areas from the outdoors, open quickly without delaying customers, and help prevent traffic queues.
Industry
DYNACO high-speed doors are designed for frequent opening and closing. In practice, they withstand more than 6,000 cycles per day, making them suitable even for the busiest areas with intensive pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
